Fever Ray
Fever Ray est le premier album solo de Karin Dreijer Andersson, dont le titre est également son nouveau nom de scène. Il est sorti en 2008.
Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson est une auteur-compositeur-interprète suédoise, née le 7 avril 1975 à Nacka, Suède. Elle est la chanteuse du duo de musique electronique The Knife, formé avec son frère Olof Dreijer. Karin a été avant cela la chanteuse et guitariste du groupe de Rock alternatif Honey Is Cool. Elle a sorti son premier album solo sous le nom de Fever Ray en 2009. Son style vocal est à la fois perçant et grave, tons déformés avec son accent et l'utilisation de correcteur de pitch. Sur scène, elle est connue pour porter des masques et l'utilisation de rayon laser.
Album solo
Alors que The Knife se sépare le temps d'une pause, Karin sort son premier album solo sous le nom de Fever Ray en mars 2009 sous le label Rabid Records en Europe et en janvier 2009 sous le label Mute Records en Amérique du Nord. If I Had a Heart, le premier single de l'album, est sorti numériquement le 15 décembre 2008. L'album intitulé Fever Ray est sorti en version numérique le 13 janvier 20092. Il a été acclamé par la critique, et Dummymag.com en a fait son artiste préférée de l'année 20093.
À noter que le titre " If I Had a Heart" est présent sur la bande originale de l'épisode 3 "Motivations" de la 4e saison de la serie Breaking Bad.
Il est à préciser que la chanson 'When I grow up' se retrouve sur le jeu PES 2011.
